Motor control and magnetic sensors

HVC 4223F is one of the latest developments from TDK-Micronas in motor control. This single-chip solution with Cortex-M3 processor core enables driving a whole variety of small brush, stepper or brushless motors.

The chip integrates a LIN 2.x communication interface, an automotive-conform power supply, driver prestages, and six half-bridges. Applications primarily targeted are in automotive electronics, plus robotics and medical technology. Extra to this, TDK-Micronas is showcasing its broad portfolio of magnetic sensors, with Hall-effect sensors addressing automotive and industrial applications.

Power supplies

TDK-Lambda shows the latest addition to its Genesys+ family of laboratory power supplies. A 5-kW unit in a 19-inch rack casing is the first model of a new generation of these power supplies. Using DSP technology, and weighing less than 7.5 kg, the power supplies offer better efficiency, performance, and functionality than legacy products in this sector.

A further innovation from TDK-Lambda is the i3A series. These DC/DC converters without galvanic isolation meet the current DOSA standard. They come in 1/32 brick format, and output up to 100 W.

SD cards and components

In the MMRD4 and MURD4 series TDK Europe comes with reliable SD and microSD memory cards, integrating a longlife SLC/pSLC flash memory, and TDK‘s GBDriverRD4 SD controller. The memory media are a guarantee of data security even in power breaks, and – are suitable for IoT applications that are often turned down to save power.

Extra to this, TDK Europe gives an overview of the IoT product portfolio from TDK and Epcos. That includes RF components, multilayer and thinfilm inductors, ceramic capacitors, piezo actuators with haptic feedback, and wireless charging coils.

Motion and sound sensors

Invensense combines MEMS sensors like accelerometers, gyroscopes, compasses, and microphones with proprietary algorithms, and firmware to process sensor output signals. At embedded world the corporation is presenting capacitive pressure sensors, analog and digital MEMS microphone solutions, as well as 6-axis sensors.
