At SPS 2025, Rosenberger will showcase a broad portfolio of connectors and system solutions for data and power transmission in automated production environments. The focus will be on contactless technologies, Single Pair Ethernet and optical interfaces.
The solutions from Rosenberger are used in robotics, sensor technology and actuator technology, among other areas, and are also suitable for other applications in industrial automation.
The patented ‘RoProxCon’ technology for contactless transmission enables wear-free and reliable transmission of energy and data. The product portfolio includes compact RoProxCon System-on-Modules (SoM) for flexible integration, RoProxCon hybrid solutions and pure RoProxCon data variants. Typical areas of application are moving or rotating assemblies as well as machines, robot systems and production facilities. The RoProxCon Evaluation Board is available for rapid implementation in development projects, facilitating entry and shortening development times.
The SPE (Single Pair Ethernet) connectors, standardised according to IEC 63171-7 ED2 (Edition 2), save space and weight and enable data rates of up to 1 Gbit/s over distances of up to 1000 m. SPE enables end-to-end Ethernet-based communication from the sensor to the cloud and is considered a key technology for Industry 4.0 and IIoT.
The EBM (Expanded Beam Multifiber) connectors provide robust fibre optic connections for extreme environments. They are based on optical expanded beam interfaces for harsh environments and support up to 12 fibres. With IP68 protection, operating temperatures from -40 to +85 °C and a service life of at least 5000 mating cycles, they are suitable for applications in radar systems, offshore energy installations, defence communications, industrial automation and transportation.
HySpeedVision (HYV) is an all-in-one connection solution for machine vision and automation. It combines data and power transmission in a single cable, reducing the effort and complexity of system design. The solution enables data rates of up to 12 Gbit/s over distances of up to 12 m and meets high requirements for EMC safety and industrial robustness. Thanks to push-pull locking, IP67 protection and operating temperatures from –20 to +70 °C, HYV connectors are reliable even under harsh conditions and are suitable for camera systems in robotics, quality assurance, medical technology and industrial automation.
Rosenberger circular connectors and adapters enable secure data, signal and power transmission even under harsh conditions. Thanks to standardised M8/M12 interfaces in accordance with IEC 61076, a wide range of codings and IP67 protection, they are universally applicable. They support data rates of up to 10 Gbit/s, currents of up to 16 A and voltages of up to 630 V, making them suitable for sensor technology, actuator technology, robotics and industrial automation.
The data connectors of the H-MTD and HSD series enable reliable high-speed data transmission in industrial applications. H-MTD provides differential transmissions up to 56 Gbit/s at a frequency of up to 20 GHz, making it suitable for automation systems and control technology. HSD supports shielded and unshielded twisted pair cables up to 6 GHz and creates robust, compact connections for mechanical engineering, robotics and industrial networks.
