Informing the public – Results at the end of 2020
The most important aspect of the project is the generally comprehensible preparation of the analytical and discursive knowledge and the provision of this knowledge for the interested public, but also for stakeholders and other scientific communities. This is done in citizen dialogue formats as well as through podcasts, brochures and a web presence (currently under construction). In addition, a close exchange with science editors is planned. True to its demystifying and enlightening approach, the project team is particularly interested in disseminating its findings in order to make the clarification of the question of ascending AI consciousness comprehensible and yet well-founded public. »In this way, we would like to expand the general knowledge, possibly even purify it - and again take up the suggestions emanating from this dialogical process«, emphasises project leader Wendland.
Results at the end of 2020
The project »Clarification of the Suspicion of Ascending Consciousness in Artificial Intelligence (AI Consciousness)« is scheduled to run for two years and will end in December 2020. As part of the »Innovation and Technology Analysis (ITA)« funding programme, it is being funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research with a total of 335,000 euros.
