Because the exhibitor forecast for the SPS Smart Production Solutions 2023 trade fair is moving towards pre-Corona levels, Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH, the organiser, is expanding the exhibition area by two to 16 halls compared to 2022. Halls 3C and 8 are new additions.
For the 32nd edition of SPS, Mesago expects around 1,300 exhibitors at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre from 14 to 16 November 2023. The current exhibitor booking figures show significant growth for the show compared to last year's event, which was the first SPS to feature "only" 999 exhibitors after the heights of the Corona pandemic. In 2019, the last year "before Corona", there were 1585 exhibitors.
In 16 exhibition halls, visitors to the fair will therefore have the opportunity to find out about the latest trends and developments in smart and digital automation, to have a personal exchange with experts and to find solutions for their automation tasks. "Last year clearly showed the high value that SPS once again has for automation specialists to enter into the important personal and professional exchange with visitors from the user industries," explains Sylke Schulz-Metzner, Vice President SPS at Mesago. "The demand is now so high that we have decided for this year's SPS to extend the exhibition grounds by halls 3C and 8 to a total of 16 halls."
The SPS is divided into eight main themes, which are spread over 16 exhibition halls. In the lower half of the exhibition grounds, as shown in the hall plan, the focus is on electrical drive technology, mechanical infrastructure and sensor technology & system solutions, in the middle on industrial communication and software & IT in manufacturing, and in the upper hall section the main themes are interface technology, control technology, human-machine interface and sensor technology & system solutions. The focal themes are primarily intended to give visitors orientation on the event site and the opportunity to gain a comprehensive overview of their area of interest.
Halls 3C and 8, which are newly included this year, focus on the following areas: In Hall 3C, interested visitors will find suppliers of mechanical infrastructure, control technology and software & IT for manufacturing. As an extension of the content and connection of Halls 7 and 9, Hall 8 will present a wide range of control technology and HMI products and solutions.
