The trade fair duo Motek/Bondexpo will not take place this year: Together with the exhibitor advisory board, trade fair promoter Schall has decided to cancel this year's event. The next edition of Motek and Bondexpo is now planned for 5 to 8 October 2021.
In the opinion of the trade fair promoter, Motek/Bondexpo could have taken place from 5 to 8 October 2020. "We fought for a long time to adapt the corona-related general conditions with all of the participants in such a way that Motek/Bondexpo 2020 could have been successful", says Bettina Schall, managing director of P. E. Schall GmbH & Co. KG. A hygiene and safety concept for safe execution was developed for this purpose. "However, together with the exhibitor advisory board, we have now decided to postpone Motek/Bondexpo 2020 until October 2021". This decision is based upon reason and a sense of responsibility, emphasises Bettina Schall: "As a trade fair promoter, we see ourselves as service providers for our exhibitors and expert visitors. The current uncertainties experienced by exhibitors and visitors, for example with regard to possible travel and sufficient secondment of employees, now demand that we look ahead to the year 2021 pragmatically and confidently". The fact that the time is now so far advanced also argues in favour of postponement: "For weeks, organisers and exhibitors had to be patient because of delays in decisions by the responsible authorities," the trade fair company regrets.
With the next date from 5 to 8 October 2021, Motek and Bondexpo will once again move to the period from Tuesday to Friday. In previous years, the trade fair duo has been held from Monday to Thursday.
