Allied Vision launches Alvium's 1800-USB cameras with up to 24.6 MP resolution. With the cameras »Alvium 1800 U-2460/2040/1620« the company enriches its Alvium camera series by three cameras with Sony IMX-CMOS sensors of the fourth generation. The cameras combine a compact sugar-cube format with high-resolution sensors to offer high resolution in a small package. Available with both USB3 and MIPI CSI-2 interfaces, the Alvium 1800 C/U-2460 delivers 24.6 MP resolution images thanks to Sony's IMX540 sensor. The 1800 U-2040 is the first model in the USB3 camera series with a square sensor. It features the 20.4-megapixel Sony IMX541 sensor, which enables a frame rate of 17 fps. Furthermore, the 1800 U-1620 is equipped with the IMX542 sensor with a 16:9 widescreen format, which has nearly twice the resolution of the comparable 2nd generation Sony IMX265 sensor at the same size.
