Prototype No. 2 of the Microlino 2.0: LED light strips give the retro look a futuristic feel.
The second prototype of the electric huggable ball is ready. Micro Mobility Systems plans to present the first production vehicles at the IAA in Munich in September.
The development of the Microlino 2.0 is still on schedule: Now the second prototype is ready and being tested. The new prototype has all the technical changes based on the findings of the first prototype.
Visually, the biggest change from the first prototype is the front and rear LED light bars. The front light bar integrates turn signals and position lights; it is complemented by the two round LED headlights. The rear light bar combines turn signal, brake and position light in one element. The light strips are intended to complement the retro look of the Microlino with a suitably futuristic touch.
The third prototype of the electric hugger is already under construction and should be ready in a few days. It will have important innovations: the interior will be completely redesigned and the folding roof is also new.
Prototypes No. 4 and No. 5 are to follow soon and will mainly serve EU homologation and type approval this summer, which are necessary for the start of production.
Micro Mobility Systems plans to exhibit at the IAA Mobility trade show in Munich from Sept. 8-12. There, the company will show the first production vehicles of the Microlino 2.0.
