Edmund Optics has opened a new distribution center in Best, Netherlands. This milestone underscores the companys commitment to enhancing service and efficiency for customers across the European Union while supporting the company’s continued global growth.

The new distribution facility enables faster and highly reliable deliveries to customers across the EU by providing reduced lead times, expanded same-day shipping options, and duty- and customs-free deliveries on all products. With all shipments now originating from within the EU, customers experience quicker service and greater convenience.

Improved Stock Levels and Operational Efficiency

The new facility features increased stock levels to provide even better product availability as well as faster shipping. Its in-house warehouse management system streamlines operations, enabling quicker returns processing and a more flexible, reliable customer supply chain. This allows the facility to better support customers with cutting-edge optical solutions.

Simplified VAT Processing and Customer Contracting

As part of this development, the contracting partner for EU customers has transitioned from Edmund Optics Ltd to the new EU-based entity, Edmund Optics BV, effective 18th November 2024. This shift provides customers with greater clarity and efficiency in contracting processes and simplifies VAT handling.
