Health in the mirror: smart check-up station for vital data

With Omnia, the French medtech company Withings is presenting a new concept for personalized health monitoring in Las Vegas. The system, embedded in an interactive mirror with AI-supported technology, enables a comprehensive 360-degree analysis of various health parameters.

The mirror, which can be used at home as well as in surgeries, clinics and wellness centers, performs daily health checks and integrates data from Withings' own ecosystem of hybrid smartwatches, scales, blood pressure monitors and sleep trackers to create a holistic health check. Omnia measures weight, heart health and metabolic values at the base station.

Holistic analysis for medical prevention

The system records ECG data including atrial fibrillation detection, monitors blood pressure and vascular age as well as various metabolic parameters such as muscle-fat ratio and visceral fat. Activity data, nutritional parameters and sleep quality with apnea detection are also recorded. An integrated AI voice assistant provides real-time feedback and enables the interpretation of health data.

A special telemedicine function allows a direct connection to medical professionals for virtual consultations. By detecting irregularities at an early stage and linking various health parameters, doctors and patients can better track changes in health and take preventive action. The system is still under development, but has already been demonstrated at the Withings stand. (uh)
