While Mitsubishi Kakoki Kaisha is expected to install the plants in Thailand in November 2023, Toyota and Toyota Tsusho will focus in particular on the design and implementation of an overall system for the compression, storage and transportation of biogas and hydrogen. The establishment of an operating system is also under consideration.

As pioneers of the energy transition, the three Japanese companies are using hydrogen-related technologies tailored to each country and region. For example, unlike conventional hydrogen production and corresponding refueling stations, the companies in Thailand are working closely with local partners to adapt the plant design to local conditions and needs. As a result, these plants can be used as part of various initiatives for the production, transport, storage and use of hydrogen. In this way, the companies are also paving the way to a CO2-neutral hydrogen society.
