Display Visions is targeting the PLC market with its EA HMI touch panel series. The HMI Modbus units, shown at SPS 2025, enable quick and easy implementation of all types of user interfaces. They are available in sizes ranging from 2.8 to 12 inches.

Their screen brightness of 1000 cd/m² makes them easy to read even in poor lighting conditions or outdoors. Thanks to their support for the Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP communication protocols, the panels are quickly ready for use and communicate seamlessly with over 20 popular PLC models, including solutions from Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Schneider, Finder OPTA, Teknic and Beckhoff.

The free HMI Designer is available for developing customised user interfaces. The WYSIWYG tool allows screen pages to be designed intuitively. Once the interface has been designed, the Modbus registers are logically linked to the display elements, automatically showing the relevant data on the display. Display Visions also offers a service for creating customised HMI designs on request.

The displays are configured as slaves or servers and support a wide range of data types, including coil, discrete, input and holding. The processing of 32-bit float values for floating point calculations is also possible. The display elements, from text and numbers to bar graphs and images, can be flexibly assigned to the Modbus registers. Touches on the touch display are transmitted as ‘discrete input’ or can directly trigger a change of screen page.
