Already for the twelfth time, the editing office of Elektronik has presented awards to 21 different distributors. The decision for the awards is made by their satisfied customers in the context of the annual reader's choice. Here are the award winners.
For the reader's choice we had asked the distributors to register and to indicate the product categories in which they would like to take part in advance.
We had already revised the product categories in cooperation with the Association of Electronic Components Distribution (Fachverband der Bauelemente-Distribution e.V. [FBDi]) for the 10th reader poll in 2016 and added two new categories: In addition to the three proven categories »active components«, »passive components«, and »electromechanics«, »optoelectronics« and »displays« as well as the »embedded« category were introduced.
Since then, the participating distributors have been assessed according to seven criteria based on the school grade principle (German school grading: 1 is best and 6 is worst). The distinction between sample quantities and volumes in the existing criteria of product availability and delivery service was a suggestion from the FBDi environment at the time.
The seven criteria comprise:
- Product portfolio
- Product availability samples
- Product availability volume
- Sample delivery service
- Delivery service volume
- Technical competence/support
- Overall impression
The satisfaction with the supply partners was quite high. For the top ten of the industry, this time the range of the average evaluations ranges from 1,44 to 2,38 according to the school grading principle .
