15 years Wireless Congress

One of the key threads running through the Wireless Congress for the last decade or more has been IoT. Forecasts were for dramatic growth, and while this has not materialised yet, widespread adoption seems even more likely and important. Making this happen requires open standards, and the Weightless Special Interest Group has been pioneering these in the unlicensed IoT space through bodies like the Congress where ideas can be discussed, debated and improved. We live in a global industry with a broad eco-system and only by working together can we bring about a better world.
