In a new analysis of RISC-V by Semico Research it says In the communications segment alone, RISC-V is expected to grow by an average of 209 percent per year (CAGR) until 2025.
Functions as finished IP blocks are an integral part of the semiconductor industry. In its new analysis, Semico Research has this time taken a look at the RISC-V core. Jim Feldhan, President of Semico Research, explains that Semico has identified 35 markets in cooperation with the RISC-V Foundation and is developing a TAM and a SAM for each of these markets. The market study focuses on four semiconductor groups which, in his view, can benefit particularly strongly from the use of RISC-V processor cores: "Advanced Performance Multicore SoCs, "Value Multicore SoC", "Basic SoCs" and "FPGAs".
