Alexander Hahn, Deutsche Lichtmiete: "Sustainability has never been a trend for us, it's an integral part of our DNA."
The sustainability rating agency imug|rating has evaluated Deutsche Lichtmiete AG according to the imug-Impact-360° standard and identified a "very strong sustainability impact".
"Deutsche Lichtmiete makes direct and indirect contributions to the UN sustainability goals", the rating agency confirms in its independent sustainability report. The balanced score impact of 51 points (very strong impact) is achieved by the market leader in Light as a Service across several of the 17 sustainability goals (Sustainable Development Goals - SDG) formulated by the United Nations.
"In contrast to classic ESG sustainability ratings, imug Impact 360° not only checks the existence of corresponding specifications and guidelines in companies, but also enables the actual impact of the measures taken to be measured," explains Axel Wilhelm, head of imug | rating.
With its holistic sustainable approach, Deutsche Lichtmiete achieves a measurable impact in various fields of activity. These include affordable and clean energy, climate protection measures, sustainable cities and communities, responsible consumption and production patterns, decent work and economic growth, health and well-being.
"Sustainability has never been a trend for us, but rather an integral part of our DNA," stresses Alexander Hahn, CEO of Deutsche Lichtmiete AG. "Even the founding motif of Deutsche Lichtmiete focuses on the goal of being sustainable in all areas. We are therefore all the more pleased that we were able to achieve measurable values in nine of 17 SDGs".
The rating is based on the imug-Impact-360° standard. In addition, the impact and risk areas are identified in relation to the UN sustainability goals and the social and ecological impact is evaluated taking risk factors into account. Information provided by the company, media reports, external reports, studies and interviews with stakeholders serve as the basis for the rating.
