The HMI technology manufacturer Rafi, based in Berg near Ravensburg, Germany, is taking over the US company Xymox Technologies, based in Milwaukee. With the takeover, Rafi wants to strengthen its market presence in the USA and push its global growth strategy.
Xymox has been developing and manufacturing capacitive input sensors and membrane switches for more than 40 years. The company has a broad Rafi-compatible customer portfolio and a nationwide distribution network throughout the United States. "By combining Rafi's product and technology know-how with Xymox's competencies and structures, we achieve a strengthened, unified positioning in the American market that will further drive our growth strategy," comments Dr. Lothar Seybold, CEO of the Rafi Group, on the acquisition.
Rafi has already experienced strong growth in the development and manufacture of complex customised operating systems in recent years. The company aims to further expand its position as an innovation leader in this sector globally. The markets in Asia and North America are the main strategic focus. "With Xymox, we have succeeded in acquiring a company that is an ideal fit for the Rafi family," explains Lothar Arnold, CFO of the Rafi Group. "Through great technological expertise, reliable products and a deep understanding of its customers' needs, Xymox has built an excellent reputation in the US in the field of human-machine communication." Both parties have agreed not to disclose the financial terms of the transaction.
