What do information boards at the train station, harvesters, point-of-sales systems, bulldozers and tower cranes have in common? As a human-machine interface (HMI), they need a display with a high luminance. After all, at least 1,000 candela per square meter or nits are required so that the operator can read the data even in direct sunlight.

CS displays from compmall are currently used in construction machinery in particular. With a luminance of up to 1,600 candela per square meter, a high contrast ratio, a wide viewing angle of up to 178 degrees, projected-capacitive touch and sizes from 8 to 24 inches, they can be used universally outdoors.

The combination with the PC module »P1201« results in a powerful, at the same time energy-saving and fanless panel PC, which is designed for industrial operating conditions. The two variants of the Intel Atom processor of the Elkhart-Lake generation only require 6 or 12 W power dissipation. The Elkhart-Lake CPU delivers 1.7 times more single-core performance and 1.5 times more multi-core performance than the predecessor Apollo Lake generation.

The front of the panel PC is IP65-protected, which means it is safe from water jets from any angle. With an operating temperature between -20 and +70°C, use in cold and hot environments is possible. In addition, the rugged PC is shock and vibration tested, EMC tested and UL certified, a safety test mark essential for machinery exports to North America.
