The fully enclosed Raspberry Pi-400 desktop computer offers high performance and energy efficiency.

The popular Raspberry Pi is now also available as a desktop version. The inexpensive Raspberry Pi 400 is available as a ready-to-use kit and is suitable for use at home or in the educational sector as well as in industry and commerce.

The Raspberry Pi-400 kit offered by distributor Farnell integrates the keyboard and electronic components into a fully enclosed compact unit with a 1.8 GHz clock rate. Kit versions include a Raspberry Pi 400, pre-programmed SD card, power supply, mouse, beginner's guide and micro HDMI cable. To use the Raspberry Pi 400, only a television monitor is required.

Features of the Raspberry Pi 400 are

  • Processor: A 1.8GHz 28nm 64-bit arm cortex A72 quad-core processor (28 nm) from Broadcom's BCM2711 range.
  • Memory: 4 GB LPDDR4-3200 RAM and a micro-SD card slot for operating system, application and data storage.
  • Connectivity: Dual-band 802.11ac wireless network with true data transfer speeds of over 100 MB/s, Gigabit Ethernet and Bluetooth 5.1. The two SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ports can be used to connect multiple peripherals. 
  • Multimedia: Two micro HDMI ports for up to 4Kp60.
  • Interfaces: The Raspberry Pi 400 is easy to integrate into embedded designs with its 40-pin horizontal GPIO header.

The Raspberry Pi 400 desktop computer is available in six keyboard languages for the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and North America at a price of 100 US-Dollar.
