New manufacturing facility for laser optics

Edmund Optics has expanded its footprint in Oldsmar, Florida, USA with a new state-of-the-art 34,000 sq. ft. Laser Optics Center dedicated to manufacturing a wide variety of optical components with high laser damage thresholds from the UV to the far IR.

The facility expands Edmund Optics’ laser optics manufacturing capabilities across laser crystal and glass fabrication, polishing, metrology, inspection, and testing, and is home to approximately 50 employees.

The company’s design and manufacturing engineers specialize in complex, high laser damage threshold coatings and designing for manufacturability.
