Calibrations are usually time-consuming and costly. At Endress+Hauser, a thermometer was developed in cooperation with the Technical University of Illmenau and IST that can calibrate itself - without disassembly and corresponding downtimes. A ferroelectric element is integrated in the itherm TrustSens TM37x, whose Curie temperature serves as reference value for the internal calibration function.
