Of course, the company is not completely new, but with the new name Kioxia, the separation from Toshiba is now also visible to the outside world.

Toshiba officially outsourced the NAND flash memory unit at the beginning of the year. This is why the former Toshiba Memory Europe now also trades under the name Kioxia Europe. "We want to lead the industry into the new storage era," says Stacy J. Smith, Executive Chairman of Kioxia Holdings Corporation. The official brand introduction of Kioxia is an important step on this way.

Kioxia has also introduced its new company logo and brand identity with the company name:  The corporate colour silver is intended to reflect the quality of the storage technology. In addition to silver, the company will use the communication colours light blue, magenta, light green, orange, yellow, white and black.

The palette of bright, vibrant colors stands for the entertaining, future-oriented culture of Kioxia, because according to Naohisa Sano, Chief Marketing Officer of the Kioxia Corporation, the new memories will create a colorful future for the world.

Kioxia has launched the #FutureMemories brand campaign. Using high-speed, high-capacity flash memory and artificial intelligence (AI), the company will redraw the work of legendary manga artist Osamu Tezuka for the first time in 30 years.

Consumer retail products such as solid-state drives (SSDs), SD cards and USB flash memory will continue to be marketed under the Toshiba Memory brand until 2019 and under the Kioxia brand from 2020.
