Initiated by the Next Mobility Accelerator consortium, in which the energy group Shell, the energy company MaierKorduletsch and the vehicle manufacturer Paul Group are significantly involved, the Next Mobility Hub was opened in Passau-Sperrwies on September 20. The hub includes a refueling island for hydrogen and liquid fuels as well as an electric fast-charging park.

Two Industrial-L electricity storage units from Fenecon are used at this special filling station. They provide smart energy management for twelve fast charging points and support the compressor of the hydrogen plant. One of the two industrial electricity storage units ensures peak load capping and makes grid expansion unnecessary. The second storage facility will participate in electricity trading in the future.

Grid-serving electricity storage

The Industrial-L storage system contains electric vehicle batteries from premium German manufacturers and is designed for outdoor use. The system delivers more than 700 kilowatts of power as well as about 1.3 megawatt hours of storage capacity. The Industrial L features multiple inverters, ensuring highly efficient operation - even at partial load. As with all Fenecon electricity storage systems, the flexible energy management system FEMS is integrated, which among other things ensures high grid efficiency.
