In addition to production, Magna will also be responsible for the development of the complete vehicle. The automotive supplier sees this order as confirmation of its complete vehicle expertise. Magna has already been working with Ineos Automotive as a vehicle development service provider since 2018 - including on the Grenadier, the company's current SUV.

»Working together on the development of our first vehicle, the Grenadier, we experienced firsthand the value of applying Magna's flexibility, expertise and experience to a total vehicle development program,« said Lynn Calder, CEO of Ineos Automotive. »Deepening our collaboration is a logical next step as we use Grenadier as a springboard for our continued growth as a global automotive brand with our second model line. We will again work with the very best partners to deliver another world-class product to our 2026 customers.«

»We are pleased to have been selected as Ineos Automotive's strategic manufacturing partner and to continue to build on our existing strong relationship in vehicle development,« added Roland Prettner, Interim President, Magna Complete Vehicles. »This new electric vehicle is a good addition to our product range and once again demonstrates our flexibility in complete vehicle manufacturing, from internal combustion to fully electric vehicles.«

Magna has been providing complete vehicle services to global automakers for decades. The company has already produced more than four million vehicles at its plants in Graz, Austria, and Zhenjiang, China (a joint venture with BJEV), including various models for both traditional automakers and new market entrants.
