A few days before the start of the virtual fair SPS Connect the organizer Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH has fixed the last details of the supporting program. Mesago has won the Bavarian Prime Minister and CSU Chairman Markus Söder for a speech.
Markus Söder will give his speech on the Main Stage on the first day of the fair from 14.30 to 15 o'clock. He will then take the opportunity for a dialogue and will be available for a short question and answer session with the participants.
In addition, a number of industry experts will impart their current knowledge of future technologies, which will be supplemented by discussions and roundtable talks. The program will focus on current topics in automation - from cybersecurity, production IT, robotics, functional safety, motion, DC infrastructure and AI to intelligent operating concepts, sensor technology, Industry 4.0, digital twin and industrial communication. All these topics will be explored in depth in keynote sessions, expert presentations, discussion panels and contributions from exhibitors during the interactive event.
Among the lecture highlights is the contribution by Prof. Thomas R. Köhler, researcher and expert for deep tech, who will give a keynote on Thursday afternoon on the topic of "Cyber security on the factory floor". In addition to typical attack scenarios, he will present possible solutions and give concrete recommendations for more security in industry.
"Using service robot modules successfully and safely in intralogistics" is the focus of the presentation by Dr. Manuel Schön. The product manager for robotics and PM control at Pilz GmbH & Co. KG and an expert in this dynamic field, will be speaking on Thursday afternoon.
In addition, Dr. Matthias Loskyl, Director Advanced Artificial Intelligence at Siemens AG Factory Automation, will give an insight into the current topic of AI in his lecture "Industrial Artificial Intelligence - Future of Automation" on Wednesday afternoon. This will be supplemented by other contributions from this area, such as a presentation on "Artificial Intelligence and IoT - Drivers for Industrial Value Creation" by Dr. Josef Waltl, Principal Group Program Manager Industrial IoT / Manufacturing at Microsoft Deutschland GmbH.
In addition, SPS Connect - just like the SPS presence fair in Nuremberg - offers numerous opportunities for networking and exchanging ideas. The virtual event is intended to underline SPS's claim to be a "working fair" with a series of presentations that will enable an intensive exchange of ideas. These include, for example, a session on the subject of "The future of industrial communication - The global production language OPC UA" with representatives of the OPC Foundation, the Homag Group and Trumpf Werkzeugmaschinen.
Artificial intelligence will not only be discussed at SPS Connect, but will also be demonstrated in practical application within the framework of the AI-supported matchmaking function. The platform is designed to bring together exhibitors and participants on the basis of their profile data, user behavior and the information they themselves provide about their offerings or needs. With the 100 percent discount code "SPS2XNWBE", SPS will enable all visitors in the pandemic year 2020 to participate in the three-day program free of charge and to use the platform for exchange and dialogue from mid-November until the end of December.
The SPS Connect platform will be available until the end of the year to enable networking and technical discussions. Participants can further develop new business relationships and access on-demand content missed during the live event. Further details on the event, the complete program and information on participation are available at sps-messe.de.
