The embedded world Exhibition&Conference will once again be held as a "live" event at the exhibition center in Nuremberg in 2022 and will be accompanied by a range of digital activities.
The decision by NürnbergMesse to hold embedded world 2022 live again from March 15-17, 2022, comes in response to strong requests from exhibitors. The first exhibitions that were allowed to take place in Nuremberg and elsewhere following relaxation of Corona measures showed that exhibitions and conferences are accepted and welcomed by visitors.
In parallel, NürnbergMesse will deploy the same digital exhibition platform that was used at the embedded world 2021 Digital event. Since that time the platform has been enhanced and will now act to complement the on-site event. Exhibitors can, for example, provide digital information and media here. Furthermore, live activities taking place in the exhibition halls and at the conference will be broadcast. However, it is also clear that a digital platform cannot replace an on-site experience.
Benedikt Weyerer, Project Manager of embedded world at NürnbergMesse, says: "After more than 18 months with no face-to-face events, I am very pleased that we can finally plan embedded world 2022 with a focus on personal contacts again. We have held two trade fairs already very successfully and proven yet again just how important personal encounters are, even in the business environment.
But we also want to reach those who are unable to travel to Nuremberg. With the digital expansion of embedded world 2022, we are creating the gateway to the live event for everyone. At the same time, the platform offers interesting added value for those visitors who will be in attendance, in the preparation for their visit to the exhibition, during the show itself and also as a reminder of three exciting exhibition days."
The embedded world Conference and the electronic displays Conference will again be held in the Congress Center of the Fair. Calls for papers for both conferences have closed and currently the submissions are being reviewed so that the conference programs can be compiled.
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Axel Sikora, Chairman of the embedded world Conference with an outlook for 2022: "We received a very large number of submissions again this year, almost as many as in our peak year of 2020. It is pleasing to see that the "big players" in the embedded industry are very strongly represented and they complement the innovative entries from smaller companies very well. In this way, we again expect a lively exchange between exhibition and conference and look forward to being back live in Nuremberg."
The electronic displays Conference has become an integral part of embedded world. Conference Chairman Prof. Dr. Karlheinz Blankenbach is confident: "The digital version of the electronic displays Conference 2021 was judged to be a very successful online event, but with a strong desire to return to a face-to-face event. This was also reflected by the high number of submissions, which only just failed to achieve a new record. We are thus looking forward to an interactive and highly innovative conference with networking and an electronic displays area."
Under current German regulations, trade shows and conferences can resume if all visitors have been vaccinated, tested or can prove they have recovered. If PCR and rapid antigen tests are accepted for detection, then masks remain mandatory on the fairgrounds. If only a PCR test is accepted for test detection (the so-called 3G-plus rule), then the wearing of masks can be waived.
