DS Automobiles presents SUV coupé with 750 km range

The Parisian premium brand DS Automobiles announces a new SUV coupé: The electric model, which will be presented at the end of 2024, achieves an electric range of 750 kilometres in the WLTP cycle.

Charismatic styling, efficient aerodynamics, avant-garde technology and first-class comfort: these are the attributes with which DS Automobiles aims to revolutionise the perception of vehicles in the SUV category.

The company is now presenting a new vehicle model. The exterior design of the electric model picks up on the dynamics of elegant SUVs and at the same time fulfils the aerodynamic requirements of a purely electric drive. The proportions of the vehicle emphasise the concept of an SUV coupé without sacrificing the practical advantages of an SUV.

Aerodynamically optimised

The front end features the typical DS Automobiles light signature with DS Pixelvision headlights. The high-tech look is rounded off by the vertically arranged daytime running lights. The windscreen is set far back and the bonnet is pulled down low. Active air intakes in the lower part of the front bumper control cooling as required.

The rear wings are strikingly moulded. The three-dimensional rear lights protruding from the body surface and the vertical light signature also improve the aerodynamics. These details are the result of extensive tests in the wind tunnel. The new electric model from DS Automobiles thus achieves an excellent drag coefficient of 0.24.

Pre-series vehicles in everyday testing

The development of the new SUV coupé is now entering the next phase. More than 50 pre-series vehicles are currently being tested on the roads of France. They are wearing a special camouflage in gold and black: the colour scheme is reminiscent of the DS E-Tense FE25 racing car, with which DS Automobiles is competing in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.
