Dirk Finstel is the new Managing Director and CEO of Seco Northern Europe, succeeding Stefan Heczko. He had held the position since 2020 and remains with Seco as a member of the advisory board. With Finstel, the company was able to gain a long-standing industry expert.
Seco is an edge computing, Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI) provider listed on the Italian stock exchange (IOT.MI). With Dirk Finstel as CEO, the company strengthens its position in the European market for embedded computing technology.
Dirk Finstel has more than 30 years of experience in leading global business units in sales, engineering, operations and product management. Prior to joining Seco Northern Europe, Finstel held various business management positions at Kontron and Adlink. Most recently, he led Advantech's European operations and embedded IoT business unit. He was also involved in the creation of industry standards such as COM Express and SMARC.
Dirk Finstel succeeds Stefan Heczko, who has shaped the former Garz & Fricke Group since its start as CEO in 2020 and accelerated its growth on behalf of the previous majority owner, the private equity company Afinum. He is a recognized growth expert who has spent most of his career working in or for B2B technology companies, most of them with a high level of value creation and in-house production. Heczko played a key role in Seco's successful acquisition of Garz & Fricke.
