In the past, Delta Electronics has gradually developed into a complete automation provider. The Taiwanese company is now expanding its product and solution portfolio with the "D-Bot" cobot series, which comprises six versions with payloads of 6-30 kg and reaches of 800-1800 mm.
The D-Bot series consists of six models whose names refer to the respective payload: D-Bot 6, D-Bot 8, D-Bot 10, D-Bot 16, D-Bot 20 and D-Bot 30. The collaborative robots comply with protection class IP66 and have six axes. They offer speeds of 120 to 200 degrees per second and a repeat accuracy of ±0.02 mm. The integration of 24-bit encoders increases precision and enables consistent performance. The cobots offer interfaces to EtherCAT, Modbus, CAN, IO-Link and optional Codesys. They are suitable for applications such as pick & place, palletising, machine loading, packaging and welding.
"Collaborative robotics is one of the fastest growing sectors in mechanical engineering and automation technology," explains Michael Mayer-Rosa, Senior Director, Industrial Automation Business Group at Delta Electronics EMEA Region. "Market researchers from Interact Analysis forecast an annual growth rate of around 20 percent until 2032. With our D-Bot series cobots, we want to meet this demand and help our customers optimise their production processes, increase efficiency in manufacturing and counteract labour shortages in many industries."
With plug-and-play set-up and intuitive programming via a user-friendly interface, the cobots are accessible to operators of all skill levels. They require no specialised programming knowledge, so they can be up and running in no time. Thanks to their plug-and-play function, movements and cobot functions can be set up effortlessly. Programming and teaching are possible using drag & drop, Python, ROS 1 or C++. The graphical user interface (GUI) with 3D visualisation enables users with varying levels of experience to program quickly. The integration of an HMI panel eliminates the need for additional devices or tools for control.
