Rockwell Automation has announced the launch of its »ASEM 6300B« box PCs. These offer additional features that allow users to customize their applications for many industrial applications.
Users can choose which of the new features they want to include in their existing configuration according to their individual needs. Options include a Trusted Platform Module (TPM)-enabled BIOS and long-distance connectivity.
Units are also available with options to expand system configuration (including support for RAID), communications interfaces and storage options including »CFAST«. Rockwell's Configure-to-Order PCs feature an expanded offering from the Intel Atom family with x5 processor, as well as two new introductions within the Atom lines (dual-display box PC family and an additional single-display option).
The »ASEM 6300B« box PCs improve cybersecurity by integrating ThinManager software. Multiple PCs with locally stored applications distributed across a factory floor can increase the attack surface and security risks. With ThinManager software, applications can be run and maintained from a centralized and secure location.
The PC chassis units are compact and lightweight, yet powerful, making them ideal for human-machine interfaces (HMI), Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) gateways and data collection applications. In addition, the PCs are available in a fanless design, which is optimal for low-maintenance applications. For industrial operations that require additional cooling, Rockwell also offers fan-cooled units.
