The embedded world Conference as a “community of communities”

In accordance with this, the embedded world Conference 2025 will be held under the motto “Connecting a Global Community”. In response to the Call for Papers, almost 650 abstracts for presentations and classes (in-depth tutorials or workshops) were received from all over the world – a new record. From these submissions, the program committee selected 240 presentations in 80 sessions, 20 half-day or full-day classes, one keynote and six expert panels and compiled them into a program that is as thematically broad as it is in-depth. The topics range from the Internet of Things (IoT), connectivity, embedded operating systems, safety & security, hardware design and embedded vision to software & systems engineering and Edge AI.

Speaking of edge AI: the highly topical subject of artificial intelligence can be found in many presentations across all subject areas, from suitable hardware for embedded AI and the software tools required for its programming to the use of AI as a tool for the design and development of embedded systems.

The embedded world Conference’s steering board, headed by Prof. Axel Sikora, sees the “global community” of the embedded world also as a “community of communities” and makes this approach visible in the cooperation with so-called community partners. Members of these industry organizations contribute presentations that appear in the program as “Special Sessions” with the addition “powered by...”. The current conference program includes such sessions together with Bluetooth SIG, MIPI Alliance, Edge AI Foundation, Edge AI & Vision Alliance, Yocto Project, GCF, RISC-V Foundation, IoT-M2M-Council, PICMG/SGET, CAN in Automation, Zephyr Project and MISRA.

Keynote: “Pushing Boundaries: Flexible AI at the Edge”

Sandra Rivera, CEO of Altera, will open the embedded world Conference 2025 with her keynote speech on “Pushing Boundaries: Flexible AI at the Edge”. This keynote will be open to all trade fair visitors and conference participants free of charge, as will six expert panels. Three of these panels will run in the exhibition halls, and three for the first time in the conference zone (Nuremberg Convention Center East) within the likewise new “Networking Area” that will offer conference participants the opportunity for informal discussions.

The electronic displays Conference will once again bring together the Who's Who of the display industry along its entire value chain in 2025. With 66 presentations and keynotes in 18 sessions plus an extensive poster session in the foyer of the conference center, the program of this most important conference for the display community, which will take place on 12 and 13 March 2025 in Nuremberg's NCC Ost, once again covers a wide range of topics.

Established experts will speak on all important aspects, from science and materials research to production, integration and sales through to the user of displays. The spectrum of the nine keynotes ranges from the challenge of sustainably meeting the growing demand for displays, to the dynamics and strategies on the global display market, to the question of which applications can open up a billion-dollar market for MicroLED displays.
