According to Atlantik Elektronik, the FG50X modules offer excellent performance in terms of capacity, data rates, latency, power consumption and range. They support the new Bluetooth audio capabilities and offer high wireless performance for a wide range of applications including smart home, mobile Wi-Fi, smart TVs, over-the-top (OTT) devices, industrial controls, CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) and automotive Internet. For the automotive market, Quectel developed the AF50T module based on Qualcomm's QCA6696 automotive Wi-Fi 6 chip.
The FG50X and AF50T modules support IEEE 802.11ax and Bluetooth 5.1 and are backward compatible with 802.11a/b/g/n/ac protocols. In addition, the Wi-Fi 6 modules support Dual-MAC, 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Dual Band Simultaneous (DBS) in 2x2+2x2 mode, MU-MIMO Wi-Fi (Multi User, Multiple Input, Multiple Output) with 8x8 sounding, OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) and 1024-QAM (Orthogonal Amplitude Modulation).
Combined with Quectel's RG500Q 5G module, the members of the FG50X family offer a powerful 5G and Wi-Fi 6 mobile Wi-Fi and CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) solution designed for fast connections and support for up to 32 simultaneous clients. The FG50X series uses WPA3 encryption mode to enhance the security of Wi-Fi connections.
