Smart Car, Smart Building, Smart Factory and Smart City are the four application areas at the both from Texas Instruments. Each area equiped with demos – based on smart ICs.
At its booth at Embedded World 2018, Texas Instruments introduces innovations for companies – all linked by the theme of »Designing Tomorrow«. The focus of the TI booth is on four different application areas and a range of technologies for Smart Car, Smart Building, Smart Factory and Smart City.
The car of tomorrow: Demonstrations on the booth include TI‘s mm-wave radar sensor SoCs for human counting, radar imaging (a driver assistance system) and the concept of a wireless-powered charging station for electric vehicles.
The building of tomorrow: The application demos include a rugged and reliable IPX5 water and liquid resistant keyboard, a touch-through metal keypad and slider, as well as the portability of code with wired and wireless microcontrollers for the realization of a sensor-to-cloud system.
The factory of tomorrow: Among the topics on display is the Industry 4.0 complex with techniques such as radar level measurement. Also on show: how fill levels in industrial tanks can be measured to within millimeter precision, gesture recognition technology and next-generation industrial networks.
The city of tomorrow: TI’s recently introduced MSP430FR6047 microcontroller for electronic water meters will be shown in sample applications that can be connected directly to ultrasonic transducers with integrated drivers and signal acquisition stages.
