Distribution Schukat with New Logistics Center

Im neuen Lager Von Schukat bringen vollautomatische Shuttles die Ware zur Kommissionierung und zurück.
In Schukat's new warehouse, fully automatic shuttles take the goods to and from the order picking area.

Schukat electronic has put its new logistics center with an automated small parts warehouse into operation. Fully automatic shuttles bring the goods to and from the order picking area.

The distributor Schukat electronic based in Monheim at the Rhine has moved into its new highly automated logistics center at the company headquarters. Both customers and suppliers of the family-owned company should benefit from this.
By investing in the latest shuttle technology from Knapp, Schukat will in future be able to process its customers' orders more quickly. By increasing capacity by a factor of 2.8 to approximately 2,000 parcels per day, more customers will receive their goods faster. Due to the increased throughput speed, the time at which orders must be received by Schukat in order for the goods to leave the warehouse on the same day is shifted backwards.
The expansion of the storage area to a total of 10,000 m2 forms the basis for Schukat to stock significantly more articles and accordingly further expand its product portfolio - even with articles that place high demands on storage. In addition, this creates more space for customer-specific stocks. The number of the pallet storage spaces is now 4000. The automated warehouse initially holds 64,000 containers and can be expanded up to 140,000. In the goods receiving area of the old warehouse building 108 buffer spaces are available for pallets and 150 are available in the goods issue area in the new building.
The new system is characterized by very high reliability. This reduces delivery failures and offers the customer greater delivery reliability.
