embedded world Conference 2018 Proceedings provides nearly 1.000 pages and more than 170 papers

Following the great success of the embedded world Conference 2018, the conference proceedings with more than 170 papers are now available in the WEKA web shop. It comprises almost 1,000 pages and is ideally suited as a reference work for embedded developers and engineers.

In 2018 the embedded world Conference closed with a new record number of participants and convinced experts with an excellent program. With 2,100 participants, the 2,000 mark was exceeded for the first time in its history. The years before were also characterised by steady growth and greater internationalisation. The motto of the conference in 2018 was "Embedded Goes Autonomous". The program was divided into seven conference clusters: Internet of Things, Embedded Vision, Autonomous Systems, Security & Safety, Embedded OS, Hardware Engineering, Software & Systems Engineering. The individual clusters are formed from sessions and classes.

Highlights included the two keynotes. Mark Papermaster, CTO of AMD, spoke on February 27, 2018, about "Evolving Embedded Systems in a Self-directed World". Andrea Martin, IBM DACH CTO & IBM Global Markets Technical Executive, spoke on the second day of the event about "Industry Solutions with the Internet of Things".

In 36 sessions and 13 classes, the international experts were able to provide themselves comprehensively with high-quality know-how.

In this proceedings you can read on nearly 1.000 pages the most exciting lectures of the embedded world Conference 2018. The quality of the more than 170 papers submitted will make this conference proceedings a valuable reference work for embedded developers and engineers well beyond 2018.

DESIGN&ELEKTRONIK would like to thank the speakers for submitting the corresponding papers.
