He will report directly to Kurt Sievers, President of NXP, and David Reed, Executive Vice President, Technology and Operations. In his new role, Lars will be responsible for technical direction, management of business innovation processes and IP generation, cross-divisional strategic planning and management of key safety and security competence centers.

Lars Reger most recently served as CTO of the Automotive business unit, where he led research and development activities in the automotive sector as well as new customer business. Prior to joining NXP, Reger served as Director of Business Development and Product Management in Continental's Connectivity Business Unit, Division Manager Process Technology and Product Development at Infineon, and in various IP and Engineering roles at Infineon and Siemens.
