Software is an efficient tool for test engineers in production. So far, there are only a few software tools that are designed to merge and evaluate data from the various development teams – simulation, prototyping, testing.
Manage Test Data more efficiently
At Productronica, Keysight will present its software suite »PathWave Test 2020«. It extends the Windows and Linux-based PathWave platform, which was developed for more efficient data exchange. The latest extension is designed to meet the needs of test engineers and executives in the 5G, IoT and automotive industries. With the software suite, test data from various sources can be collected centrally and evaluated via analysis software. Keysight has developed the analytics software »PathWave Manufacturing« for the optimization of automated test sequences.
RF measurement technology
The change in HF technology is driven by the rapid development of wireless communication technology. 5G requires more complex test scenarios and significantly more test cases than 3G and 4G. Keysight wants to make work easier through standardization: desktop and USB oscilloscopes with a common user interface and functional scope allow the same test coverage and the same test methods to be used in manual and automated testing. Conformance testing requires standard test signals. The US company is showing signal generators and analyzers with the latest software for this purpose.
In-Circuit-Tests for printed circuit board production
Test systems for printed circuit board production must guarantee a certain throughput, even with complex test specimens such as multi-layer 3D PCBs. The trend towards flexible PCBs is also placing new demands on test systems. To this end, the manufacturer is showing in-circuit test systems for 5G components and systems, IoT devices and the automotive sector. Good repeatability even at high throughput is achieved by optimized parallel testing.
In the service sector, »KeysightCare«, a proactive service model for development and test engineers, has been developed. The promise behind it is: Binding response times, proactive software updates and a single point of contact for measuring instruments and software. Every visitor to Productronica's booth can see for himself whether the self-assessment of »industry-leading customer service« is justified.
