On 14 and 15 July 2020 »Hannover Messe Digital Days« are launched

Die Digital Days sollen eine Online-Plattform für die gesamte Hannover-Messe-Community bilden.
The Digital Days are intended to provide an online platform for the entire Hannover Messe community.

The industrial transformation with its megatopics digitalization, individualization, climate protection, and demographic change continues unabated despite the corona crisis and is the focus of the new »Hannover Messe Digital Days«.

The two-day digital event provides an overview of current developments in industry, the energy sector and logistics and offers orientation for the time during and after the crisis. With keynotes from business, science, and politics as well as panel discussions, live chats, networking, and innovation presentations, the event will start on 14 July. The focus is on the question of how the transformation of the industry can succeed and what levers need to be applied to ensure that the industry recovers quickly from the consequences of the shutdown.

"With Digital Days we are creating an online platform for the entire Hannover Messe community," says Dr. Jochen Köckler, Chairman of the Board of Management of Deutsche Messe AG. "Due to the Corona pandemic, the trade fair had to be cancelled this year, but of course people still have the need to find out about the latest technological products and solutions as well as discuss with experts from all over the world. After all, impulses for tomorrow's innovations can only be generated in an exchange with other industries and cultures.

Thematically, the Hannover Messe Digital Days are based on the contents of the fair. For example, Industry 4.0, Artificial Intelligence, Smart Energy and Logistics 4.0 will be the focus of the conference programme. The second pillar of content is formed by the exhibitors' product and solution presentations. Networking won't be neglected either. All participants can search for suitable business and cooperation partners and enter into a direct exchange via the chat function.

Because the Hanover Fair cannot be held as a presence event this year, the "Hermes Award" technology prize will be awarded digitally this time. A jury chaired by Prof. Dr. Reimund Neugebauer, President of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, selected the winner from among numerous submissions. The announcement will be made on 14 July.

With the main theme "Industrial Transformation", the Hannover Messe will be highlighting all current industry topics, including Industry 4.0, Artificial Intelligence, 5G and Smart Logistics. With the Digital Days, the Hannover Messe is adding a digital event to its portfolio this year. The first edition will take place on 14 and 15 July.
