Garz & Fricke recently announced the acquisition of Keith & Koep. Appropriately, the HMI specialist officially opened the new company headquarters in Hamburg-Harburg.

Already in October 2019, the employees moved into the new company headquarters at Schlachthofstraße 20 in Hamburg-Harburg. Now the official inauguration of the new company building followed with 500 invited guests. Located in the immediate vicinity of the Hamburg-Harburg railway station and the technical university, the building comprises service and production areas, offices and laboratories with a total area of 8,000 m2. With a clear material flow structure and a new SMT assembly line, the company is adaptable and can react flexibly to new customer orders with high volumes, the company stated.

In his opening speech, Matthias Fricke particularly mentioned the HMI expert's expansion in recent years. Among other things, a management team has been established, development has been merged and sales and marketing have been strengthened. Furthermore, the Stuttgart-based company e-GITS was acquired in 2019, followed this year by the embedded specialist Keith & Koep. This enables Garz & Fricke to supply its customers with single board computers, HMI modules, application software and System on Modules (SoMs). Arm-based embedded boards in particular are the focus of the new acquisitions. Manfred Garz explains that the SoMs are intended to win new customers in the United States in particular.

According to the managing director, Garz & Fricke was able to increase its sales and expects a further increase in 2020. Products from the embedded systems sector make a significant contribution to this, as does the new cashless payment system KarL4.
