In the past, Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) had repeatedly stated, for example, in his government declaration in the state parliament that he wanted to make Bavaria a leading pilot and production region for individual air traffic such as air taxis or drones.
In keeping with the Council of Ministers' deliberations, an exhibition focusing on "Air taxis and electric flying of the future" will be held at the State Chancellery's Hofgarten on Tuesday. Before the meeting, Söder wants to view small aircraft and drones in addition to air taxis.
Further topics of the cabinet meeting are medical robotics and the further development of Bavaria's universities of applied sciences. In addition, Söder and Kiechle want to sign the "Innovation Alliance University 4.0" with 32 university presidents from Bavaria. The aim of the alliance is to strengthen the university landscape in the long term.
